WHAT DOES A SPEECH SESSION LOOK LIKE?

  • Speech and language intervention is provided in our clinic or via teletherapy (online) using various programs, strategies, and techniques. Therapy sessions are typically one clinical hour in length.

  • All services include parent education and training to facilitate generalization outside of the session and to ensure the highest quality of services.

  • Based on parent/child preference and age of the child, parents may participate in the entire session or in debriefing and training for the final 5-10 minutes of session.

WHAT IS SPEECH THERAPY?

Speech therapy addresses a variety of skills in order to help children become functional communicators.


Treatment is provided in the following areas:


  • Articulation (speech sound) disorder

  • Auditory processing disorders

  • Autism spectrum disorders

  • Childhood apraxia of speech
